Do you have missing teeth due to injury or dental issues? If you would love to see your smile complete and feel confident about your teeth again, dental implants could be the perfect solution for you. Dental implants fill in the gaps from missing teeth and are made to match the shape and color of the surrounding teeth. They can also help keep your other teeth from shifting and help maintain the strength of your jaw bone. Give us a call today to learn more about dental implants at Oak Creek Dental Care.
When dental implants are placed where you were once missing teeth, you will be able to regain your confidence around friends and family. You will be able to smile without being self-conscious. Also, you’ll be able to eat, talk, and chew comfortably again! With proper home care and regular exams with your dentist, implants can last for a lifetime.
Yes, your dental implant is matched to the color of your natural teeth to help them completely blend in. They are also shaped and tested to make sure they are comfortable and fit properly in place of your missing teeth.
The implant process involves 3 appointments which can take a few months from start to finish. At the first appointment, your dentist will place anchors where the tooth is missing. These anchors can take time to fuse with your jawbone, but this is necessary to create a solid foundation. At the second appointment, titanium posts will be placed on top of the anchors. At your final visit, a crown that has been molded to fit properly in the place of your missing tooth will be placed on top of the posts. Although this process can take a few months to complete, the end results are worth it!
The entire procedure can be completed with sedation dentistry – which will make for an easy and relaxed experience for you! We will discuss the sedation options to find out what form of sedation will work best for you.
In comparison to dentures, implants last longer, are more comfortable, and have a more natural appearance. Patients tend to choose implants over dentures because of their durability, comfort and the ability to look just like natural teeth.
