Our Staff

April – Clinical Administrator

HI, I’m April! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School and the Eastland Career Center for Dental Assisting. I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since 2007. I love dentistry and everything about it! I have been in dentistry for over 20 years and I couldn’t think of another profession I’d rather be in. I love educating my patients and helping them overcome their fears and achieving their desired smile. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband John and our two wonderful daughters – Ava, 16 years and Lexi, 21 years. I also enjoy anything that has to do with the great outdoors…camping, gardening or taking a ride on my motorcycle on beautiful days!

Heather – Senior Insurance Coordinator

Hi, I’m Heather! I was born and raised in Kentucky. I left Kentucky in 2000 for the Navy and ended up spending time in Illinois, California, North Carolina and finally settled in Worthington, Ohio with my husband and family. I have spent my last couple years in general dentistry but prior to this I was in Oral Surgery for 13 years doing administration work. I’ve been working at Oak Creek Dental Care since 2016, started as a Treatment Coordinator and moved along to Insurance and Billing. My favorite thing about working in the office is being able to help people feel comfortable with coming to the dentist and having them feel better about their oral health. When I am not at work, I like to spend time going to my children’s sports, hanging out with my family, shopping or grabbing a coffee and enjoying my time outside.

Lanie – Insurance Coordinator

Hi, I’m Lanie! I was born in Guam and grew up in Reynoldsburg, OH. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University. I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since July of 2015. My favorite thing about working in this office is the calm environment. When I am not at work I enjoy watching movies.

Amber – Treatment Coordinator

Hi, I’m Amber! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I received my Dental Assisting certification at Eastland Career Center and attended Columbus State for Healthcare Management. I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since May of 2014. I love working one on one with the patients to review and educate them on their dental needs. Helping them understand the importance of their dental care and coming up with a plan to complete their treatment is very fulfilling. The amazing doctors and wonderful co-workers make each day enjoyable as well! When I’m not at work, I like to spend time with my two little ones and explore new things as a family. I enjoy being outdoors, going to a park, the zoo, camping, fishing, and having bonfires in the evening. Shopping is also one of my favorite things to do to relax!

Peggy – Treatment Coordinator

Hi, I’m Peggy! I was born in Potsdam, New York and for my education, I attended Canton ATC and Suny Potsdam. I started working in the dental field in 1988 while living in San Francisco and then switched to general dentistry while still training assistants in surgery. I switched to corporate business for awhile and returned back into the dental field in 1997. Right now I live in Powell, Ohio and have been working at Oak Creek Dental Care since 2014. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and watching my daughter play softball. I also enjoy watching my other daughter attend her ASL classes and excel at school.

Sarah – Patient Coordinator

Hi, I’m Sarah! I was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in the small town of Hebron,Ohio. I started at Oak Creek Dental Care in July 2018. Outside of work I love spending time with my family and 3 kids Kayla, Brandon and Korbin. We spend most of our time outdoors camping, enjoying bonfires and at the race track watching my boys race their dirt bikes. I enjoy working at Oak Creek because they treat their patients and staff like family.

Natalie – Patient Coordinator

Hi, I’m Natalie! I was born and raised here in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from Olentangy Liberty High School and Delaware Area Career Center with my firefighter certifications. I am married to my wonderful husband, Ben, and we have a rescue lab-mix, Bezzie, and two rabbits, Jade and Tobie. I enjoy coming to work everyday because we have such a positive and unique team here at Oak Creek and I am always ready to learn about the always expanding dental field. When I am not at work, I am attending class at Columbus State Community College/Franklin University to further my education in the Fire Science field. I enjoy spending time with my nephew, shopping and watching a good movie.

Maria – Patient Coordinator

Hi, I’m Maria! I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. I graduated from Cleveland Institute of Medical and Dental Assistants in 1981 and have had the pleasure of working in the dental field as a dental assistant, insurance coordinator and billing manager. I joined the Oak Creek Dental Care team when my husband and I transplanted here in 2007. I love how the staff is always willing to help one another at work and in life and I am blessed to be a part of this gifted, talented, amazing team of professionals. I can often be caught proclaiming that I work at “the best dental office in the country!” When I’m not at work I can be found enjoying a movie with my husband, or reading, writing and participating in church ministry duties.

Kristy – Hygiene Team Lead, Hygienist

Hi, I’m Kristy! I was born in Mansfield, Ohio and raised in Bellville, Ohio. I attended Clear Fork High School & the University of Cincinnati. I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since October of 2009. I absolutely love being a dental hygienist and am passionate about dentistry! I have been lucky enough to work with amazing dentists since graduating from UC. I have been a hygienist in dental offices where we focus on sedation dentistry for the past 13 years. Making patients feel comfortable is my top priority. The truth is, most people are fearful, embarrassed, and would rather be anywhere else than in a dental chair. There is self gratification in every aspect of being a hygienist! I enjoy developing professional relationships with my patients and look forward to their return visits. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family! I have been married for 16 years and have 2 children. My husband Shane is a graphics editor in Columbus. My son Carter is a 2nd degree black belt in martial arts (Taekwondo) and my daughter Chloe is a level 2 gymnast at Gym X-treme. I enjoy spending time on my parents’ farm north of Columbus; I grew up raising and showing Belgian Draft horses! I love photography and am rarely seen without my camera! I was once told, “If you love what you do, you will never work another day in your life!” I certainly love the career path that I have chosen and proud to have the Oak Creek Dental Care team as a part of my family!

Misty – Clinical Team Lead, Dental Assistant

Hi, I’m Misty! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from Teays Valley High School and attended Ohio Business College. I started working at Oak Creek Dental Care back in 2010, then took some time off to become a stay-at-home Mother and returned in 2016. This office treats both its staff and patients like family. Helping patients achieve superior dental care along with the most fabulous coworkers around! When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time watching my daughter cheer on her high school football team and competing as competition cheerleader. My other daughter has four legs and is named Dixie Doodles. As a family we like to travel to explore new places, concerts and do anything where we can laugh and enjoy life together!

Brooke – Lead Hygiene Coordinator

Hi, I’m Brooke! I was born in Newark, Ohio and grew up in Alexandria, Ohio. I’ve worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since January 2015 and my favorite thing about working in this office is everyone’s positive attitudes. When I am not at work, I like to spend time outside with my family, watching the kids fish and swim. I love camping, spending time outdoors with my family, the country living, and my goal in life is to take one day at a time.

Nicole – Hygienist

Hi, I’m Nicole! I was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio. I received my Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Dental Hygiene from The Ohio state University and I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since 2015. My favorite thing about working at Oak Creek would be the way that our team is more than just a team, but rather a family. When I’m not at work I enjoy running and working out, and spending time with my family.

Jami – Hygienist

Hi, I’m Jami! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and currently reside in the Grove City area. I attended Columbus State Community College and graduated in 2007 in Dental Hygiene. I have been with Oak Creek Dental Care since May of 2015 and absolutely love our office! My favorite thing about working in the dental field is being able to help patients smile with confidence. It is very rewarding for me to see a patient go from being afraid or ashamed to come to the dentist, to walking out with a smile and saying they can’t wait to come back! When I’m not spending time at Oak Creek, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching Netflix, working out, or attending any kind of live music event.

Meg – Hygienist

Hi, I’m Meg! I was born and raised right here in Ohio. I received my Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from The Ohio State University and I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since 2004. I am honored to work with such talented professionals and to be a member of such an amazing team. When I am not at work I like to spend time with friends & family, read, and exercise.

Taylor – Hygiene Assistant

Hi! I’m Taylor! I am a hygiene assistant here at Oak Creek Dental Care. I was born in Amarillo, Texas and was raised in London, Ohio. I graduated from Assist to Succeed Dental Assisting School and am currently enrolled at Columbus State Community College in hopes of becoming a Dental Hygienist! I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since May of 2017. My absolute favorite thing about work are my fellow coworkers who make everyday fun and enjoyable. We all work as a team to make sure our patients feel at home! When I am not at work, I enjoy working out, spending time with friends and family, and doing anything that involves warm weather whether it’s boating, grilling out, or even just laying by the pool! My long-term goal is to take all of the knowledge I have gained here at Oak Creek Dental Care and use it to become an amazing hygienist in the future!

Amanda – Hygiene Assistant

Hi, I’m Amanda! I was born in Delaware and grew up in Ohio. I attended Ohio State University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science and I completed the Dental Assisting program at Assist to Succeed. I have been with Oak Creek Dental Care since September of 2017. My favorite thing about my job is the patients. I love helping patients and helping them achieve their dream smiles. Being an assistant always keeps me on my toes because there is always so much variety in the tasks to accomplish. Being able to work at this office is an absolute pleasure. Every team member I work with offers unique strengths to help enrich each patient’s experience in our office. I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling job! When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and boyfriend, as well as working out, and running. My long term goal in the dental field is to one day work towards becoming an EFDA.

Courtney – Hygiene Assistant

Hi, I’m Courtney! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Johnstown Monroe. I attended First Impressions Dental Assisting school where I fell in love with dentistry. I am currently a student at The Ohio State University where I will hopefully be attending the hygiene program this coming fall. I have been at Oak Creek since June 2018 and have loved every minute of it. Working at Oak Creek has taught me so much in such a short amount of time and I couldn’t imagine myself working anywhere else. My coworkers feel like family and make everyday fun and enjoyable! I love meeting new people and helping with the process of making them love their smiles. If I am not working, I enjoy being with family and friends. I love working out, shopping, cooking and traveling! My ultimate goal is to obtain all the information I’ve learned from the hygienists and assistants at Oak Creek and carry that onto my own journey at hygiene school. Each of them have offered me so many unique traits and skills to further take with me. I couldn’t ask for a more rewarding job!

Alexis – Hygiene Assistant

Hello, my name is Alexis. I was born in Newark, OH and grew up in Alexandria, OH. I graduated from Northridge High School and continued my education at Assist to Succeed where I earned my Dental Assisting and Radiology certificates. I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since Fall of 2018. My favorite thing about working at Oak Creek is getting to interact with the patients and make sure they have the best experience. When I’m not at work I am coaching for the Northridge Middle School cheerleaders. I also enjoy spending time with family and catching up on my favorite shows.

Alex – Dental Assistant

Hi, I’m Alex! I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up in Southfield, Michigan. I attended Assist to Succeed Dental Assisting School in Worthington, Ohio and received my Bachelors of Science degree at the Western Michigan University. I joined the team at Oak Creek Dental Care in September of 2017. I love having the opportunity each day to work with such amazing patients, and make their dental appointment as enjoyable as possible. Helping patients achieve their best smile is not only rewarding to them, but to me as well. Working with the Oak Creek Dental Care team has been such an honor for me. Everyone in the office is dedicated to ensuring that all the members grow and succeed in their roles. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter as well as working out, dancing, exploring Columbus, and watching a great show on Netflix. My goal is to continue to learn and grow in my current role,and utilize the knowledge and skills to help me become an expanded function dental assistant.

Tonya – Dental Assistant

Hi I’m Tonya! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from Hamilton Township and received my Dental Assisting certification at Everest Institute, I’ve worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since July 2018. My favorite thing about working at Oak Creek is everyone is always so positive. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our 2 little boys.

Kayla – EFDA

Hi, I’m Kayla! I was born and raised in Marysville, Ohio. I graduated Marysville Exempted Village High School in 2006, and achieved my Certified Ohio Dental Assistant licence at Ohio Institute of Health Careers in 2007. Upon graduating from dental assisting school, I worked as a dental assistant for 3 years and was accepted at The Ohio State University EFDA program. I completed the program in 2010. I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since October 25, 2010 and my favorite thing about working in the office is that I am very fortunate to get to help others achieve their dream smile. It is so rewarding being able to assist in improving our guests’ overall health and wellbeing, and the appreciation we receive in return is immense. I am a very family oriented individual and when I am not spending time with my work family at Oak Creek, I am enjoying time with my husband Eric, our daughter Kinleigh who was born in 2015, and our four-legged son Dozier (english bulldog, 9 years old). Our family owns a log cabin at Mad River Mountain, and it is our hope that we will be able to teach our daughter to snowboard along with her Papa and make this a fun family hobby for years to come.

Heather – EFDA

Hi, I’m Heather! I was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Westerville, Ohio. I studied Dental Assisting at American Dental Pro and went on to study Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH. I have been with Oak Creek Dental Care since October 9th, 2010. Nothing is more satisfying than making people smile everyday and helping them feel better about themselves. It gives me such joy to see their faces light up, one smile at a time! I am also truly blessed to work with such amazing people.The staff at Oak Creek Dental Care is more of a family to me than co-workers. I LOVE them all. My favorite thing to do when I am not with my Oak Creek work family, is to spend time with my handsome 12 year old son. He is my favorite person. I also enjoy watching movies and just relaxing at home. I currently live in Westerville with my son and we have 2 dogs Chica and Bailee.

Tara – EFDA

Hi, I’m Tara! I was born in Dayton, OH and raised in Ansonia, OH. I attended Ansonia High School, studied dental assisting at Miami Valley Career Technology School and got my EFDA at Sinclair Community College. I have worked at Oak Creek Dental Care since 2016 and my favorite thing about working in the office is that there are constantly new techniques or studies coming out; I enjoy continual growth, not only in my field, but as a person. When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening with my boyfriend of 8 years. We love to hike, canoe, have bonfires, and just be outside.

Adam – BSN, RN, CCRN

Hi, I’m Adam! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from Lancaster High School, and obtained my BSN from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. I’ve been a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at The Ohio State University for close to a decade. I’ve had the pleasure of working at Oak Creek Dental since 2010. I am blessed with the opportunity to ease my patient’s anxiety and nervousness that accompany dental procedures, with IV conscious sedation. Critical Care medicine has always been close to my heart, as I also teach Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support for the University. When I’m not at the hospital or the dental office, you can find me on the lake water skiing in the summer, or exploring new destinations with my girlfriend Autumn. I am preparing to enter Graduate school to obtain my Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Master’s degree. I’m excited to be part of our healthcare system, and I look forward to helping my future patient’s obtain the smile of their dreams!
